Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)
The beautiful Province of Manitoba is often called the “Gateway to Western Canada”. Located in the middle of the country, Manitoba is an open and friendly place with a thriving labor market thanks to its abundant natural resources and agriculture. Canada has a long tradition of welcoming immigrants, and Manitoba is no exception. Winnipeg is perhaps the most friendly major city in the country, and the province is filled with pluralistic communities that are extremely open to new Canadians.
The easiest way to immigrate to Manitoba is through the Canada Express Entry immigration system. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) seeks recent graduates, skilled workers, business people and their families with the intention and ability to successfully settle and economically establish in Manitoba as permanent residents.
The MPNP for Skilled Workers is locally driven and based on the needs of Manitoba employers. Outside of Express Entry, they can send an Expression of Interest (EOI) directly to Immigration Manitoba.
If given a Manitoba nominee certificate from the MPNP, the person can then apply to become a Canada permanent resident using Express Entry by creating a new profile and uploading their credentials.
There are three categories within the Manitoba PNP .

◾ Manitoba Connection
◾ Business Investor
Documents Required
Applicants of MPNP must meet the following requirements:
◾ Be between 21 and 45 years old
◾ Have a connection to Manitoba which is not superseded by a connection to any other province
◾ Be employable and “adaptable”
◾ Have at least a one-year, post-secondary certificate or training certificate
◾ Have at least two years of full-time work experience within the previous five years
◾ Have the ability to find work within Manitoba, including the ability to earn any necessary certifications required for work.
◾ Provide a Settlement Plan detailing a genuine interest in becoming a permanent resident of Manitoba
◾ Provide General Training IELTS test scores. The test must be taken within the past two years, with a score of at least 5 in each category.
